Constance Jones, practicing since 1980, is certified both through I-ACT as an Instructor and through the National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy.  She has performed over 40,000 Colon Hydrotherapy sessions! Since moving to Connecticut in 2003, she provides the highest quality of safe, comfortable, and effective Colon Hydrotherapy at Glastonbury Naturopathic Center with Dr. Helene Pulnik, N.D. 

Besides founding and directing the New England School of Colon Hydrotherapy in Boston for six years, she managed Constance Jones and Associates for twenty-four years, which administered to over 50 clients a week in the Boston area.  Always concerned with integrity and quality in the profession, Connie was an I-ACT Board Member for seven years, focusing on legal and educational issues.

Healthcare comes naturally for Connie, having grown up with a father who was an old-fashioned Family Medical Doctor in North Carolina.  You could say that her interest in nutrition began with her B.A. with Honors in American Studies when she led a senior seminar in 1971 looking at the American culture defined by You Are What You Eat. 

Connie was first introduced to Colon Hydrotherapy in 1976 when she began confronting a two-year diet pill addiction, after spinning out of control while speeding through a stressful financial career in New York City.  Extremely depleted and anorexic, she was inspired by a woman she met who had healed herself from cancer through a holistic approach including Macrobiotics.  Connie’s journey to her own recovery led her to immerse herself in several natural healing modalities including cleansing through diet and Colon Hydrotherapy; within a year, she quit her financial career and moved to Boston where she studied both Macrobiotics and Raw Foods along with graduate courses in General Nutrition. 

Around this time, Connie was initiated into a path of self- and soul-discovery, personal and spiritual growth that has continued throughout her life.  Connie brings her gifts of intuition and listening along with compassion to each client.  She felt spiritually called to pursue Colon Hydrotherapy as a profession after 4 years of experiencing the benefits herself.  Along with living a healthy and balanced lifestyle, this modality has been Connie’s own core healing tool for thirty years.

In 1995, Connie met her husband, Paul Dunion.  Paul has evolved his psychotherapy practice to focus on The Descended Path.  Based on Paul’s book, Shadow Marriage–A Descent Into Intimacy, Connie and Paul offer couples workshops together.  Connie also facilitates Women’s Ritual Soul Work Groups.  Influenced by Paul’s perspective, Connie views Colon Hydrotherapy as a bio-energetic form of processing shadow.  She has developed her colonic practice to focus on balancing the lower chakras by releasing their emotional, mental, and spiritual blockages while assisting her clients in letting go physically.
